1. EPA Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule-Initial (RRP-I)

This EPA accredited class has two parts.
Part 1 - "on-line" (about 5-hours) - covers academic topics including health effects, regulations, lead safe work practices, containment, cleaning & record keeping.
Part 2 - "on-site" (about 3-hours) - this part takes place in a classroom on a date selected at enrollment and includes hands-on exercises, a short review and a 30-question, multiple-choice final exam. Students receive their EPA Certification upon successful completion of both parts of this class and the final exam.

2. CA DPH General Lead Refresher (CEG)
Class fee: $175.00 (Approx length: 5-hrs) Enroll Now
This is the only on-line refresher available in California. It is approved by the CA Dept of Public Health (CDPH) and by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The General Lead Refresher is a continuing education class required every two years for California certified Lead-in-Construction certified Supervisors, Project Monitors, Inspectors and Risk Assessors in addtion to individuals holding EPA lead-based paint certifications.
Topics covered include a review of key concepts learned during initial certification training plus updates on current regulatory, technology and industry trends.
Students have seven (7) days from when they start to complete this course. After passing the final exam, students download a Course Completion Packet PDF file - either for CDPH or EPA. The packet includes directions on how and where to submit renewal applications, etc.
